About Raven

A little about the person behind the site: Raven. Well, I just go by Raven and before you roll your eyes, no it’s not a witchy reference, or goth, or even an Odin reference. It’s and Edgar Allan Poe reference. I fell in love with his poem The Raven in grammar school, well I fell in love with his work in general, but I really loved The Raven in particular. As I got older, I started to use the name Raven more and even created a character named Raven. My online handle eventually evolved into LunarianRaven which the term “Lunarian” is a video game reference, specifically Final Fantasy IV. The main character and his brother are part Lunarian, people from the moon. So, that’s where the name LunarianRaven name came from. Not some witchy, Odin, gothic, thing. (Well, I guess it is kinda gothic, the raven party lol.) 

So, a little more about me. I’m a disabled, wheelchair using, mentally ill, chronically ill, chronic pained Norse pagan and Lokean. I honor and work with Odin, Loki, Baldr, and Freyr. I have become quite fond of Loki’s family, especially Hel and Fenrir. I’ve been a Norse pagan for 2 years now and it has been quite the experience. I have a pug, 20yr old cat, and a very grumpy bearded dragon all who I love so much! I also live with 4 other dogs, but they belong to my parents and yes, I still live with my parents, not because I want to but because it is necessary as I need assistance with some things. No shame in still living with parents if you must. Anyways I do use a wheelchair as I have some bad chronic back pain and have Kyphosis and one leg that does not want to function correctly. I have Polycystic Ovary Syndrome and Hypothyroidism which both cause me so many issues that if I were to write about them, I’d need a whole separate page, also recovering from a severe bout of Anemia (I should be fine, but my Hematologist is not convinced yet.) I struggle daily with clinical depression and anxiety, which one or the other decide to take over or they decide to beat the ever-living crap outta me at the same time, so that’s always fun. I am also a big nerd; I love video games. I’m also a book worm and love baking! You might see some pictures in the future of some of the things I make, mostly in the form of offerings. I also use humor, a lot. I have a very goofy sense of humor and enjoy comedies and horror movies. Most of the shows I watch are anime, I’m an anime dork as well.
