Leafy and green. Soft and gentle. Kind and patient. Your healing is special. For it is not the physical kind Nor is it of the spirit. You heal the child. Your gentle hand guides us who are wounded. You restore our inner innocence. Like a mother, Your love unconditional. Like a sister, Your support unending. Like a grandmother, Your wisdom boundless. You take us by the hand and teach us. Teach us how to love ourselves. Teach us how to love others. You help us to be kind to our inner child. For that child is still very fragile and new. Still in need of love and attention. You love us no matter what. Love us like the mother we always needed. Love us like the grandmother we always wanted. Your healing is special. It is an inner healing like no other. A healing that some of us reject. Leafy and green You are. Soft and gentle Your touch is. Patient and understanding You are.
pagan prayer
Prayer to Sif
The golden fields that sway in the wind. Like the hair that flows around You. You bless the fields as You move through them. You are the rays of sunshine, that blankets the fields. You are the gentle rainfall, that sprinkles the crops. With each step You take, Your blessings make the fields fertile. With each step You take, springs forth the nourishment we need. With each step You take, You ensure we live another season. Those who honor You by caring for these fields Are blessed and protected by Your hand. But those who would seek to poison it, will feel Your wrath. You bring growth and renewal to those who plant them. You bring harmony and happiness to those that seek it. The Goddess of Golden Tresses. Your presence is ever comforting. You protect our fields and keep them fertile. You protect the soil that allows us to cultivate. In turn, we should respect and honor You. So that we may enjoy our blessings Until our web has ended.

Prayer for the Mother
This prayer I recite is for the mothers, for those who are mothers, for those who wish to be mothers, for mothers who have gone on to the hereafter, and for the mother I call my own. I pray to the Queen Frigga, All-Mother that You watch over all those that call themselves mothers and those who take up that position. Help guide them and protect them. For a mother’s work and love is most precious. I pray to Angrboda, Great Witch of the Ironwoods. That You guide and protect mothers who care and love their children that are considered “outcasts” Children who are considered “monsters” because they look different. Children who would be thrown to the vipers because they are ill. For those mothers bear the most responsibility and sorrow. I pray to Freja, beautiful Fertile Goddess. That You give hope and love to the ones who are eager to bring forth life. For they are the most easily frightened. Grant their wish to bring their children safely into this world and many others the gift of motherhood they so very much desire. I pray to Sigyn, most steadfast and tragic mother. That You console those who have lost their children. Bring the mourning mother comfort and peace for her sorrow and grief is unmatched. No matter what age, a mother’s loss of a child is devastating. Give them the light and comfort that so desperately need. I pray to Rindr, one who became a mother under vile circumstances. I pray to You that You help and heal those that were given motherhood forcibly. Help them to become strong and to carry on, even when the world is against them. Console and comfort them as they mourn themselves and search for peace. I pray to Eir, Healing Goddess of Asgard. Give comfort to the ones who will never be mothers or cannot be mothers no longer. Encourage them to fight and stay strong. Help them with their health and illness, for it has rendered them unable to have children or care for any child. Help make people see them as a person rather than someone who should give birth. I pray to Hel, Goddess of the Underworld. I pray that the many mothers that have passed through Your Hall are helping and guiding their children in parenthood. That they bless them with good fortune and love and chase away the mothers that committed evil acts of evil against their own kin. I Hail and praise these Goddesses in hopes They protect the people who we call mother. No matter whom they might be, no matter if they were mothers, are mothers, or will never be mothers.
